Managing Director / CEO

Sunny Bains
A scientist, journalist, editor, and lecturer, Sunny both founded and runs Form and Content. She has a B.Sc. in Physics, an M.S. in Journalism, and a Ph.D. related to Artificial Intelligence. Her technical interests range from nanotechnology to optolectronics to robotics to theoretical computer science. As a writer and editor she has worked on everything from tiny niche technical newsletters to trade magazines like EE Times and Laser Focus World to mainstream titles like The Economist, New Scientist, and Wired. Over the years she developed the Form and Content system for gathering ideas and articles, and then helped design the software system that would make it come into its own. Though the company is based in London, Sunny previously lived and worked in Berkeley, Boston, Edinburgh, and near Seattle. In this spirit, the company is founded on the use of expert freelancers who live all over the UK, the United States and elsewhere. Because of this, Form and Content has the luxury of being able to recruit based purely on skills and expertise, and not location.
